SHAKER STYLE KITCHEN IN LOUTH, LINCOLNSHIRE
Be prepared to feel a little envious if your idea of a dream kitchen includes classic Shaker style cabinets and a large range cooker.
This is another kitchen created by our designer Jake from Brigg Kitchens & Bathrooms for the owners of a lovely new build home in Louth, Lincolnshire.
The Cranbrook is a Shaker classic in the Symphony Kitchen range – here Jake has selected painted cabinets in Stone and pewter handles for their simplicity and versatility. It’s a traditional, warm and welcoming look for the heart of this new home.
The cabinets are paired with a laminate worktop – also from the Symphony range. Its dark grey steel finish has an industrial chic and give the kitchen real character.

At one end of the kitchen, there’s a raised breakfast bar. This wasn’t in the original specification, but like many of our customers, these new homeowners wanted to include an island or breakfast bar to add to the versatility of their kitchen.
Mindful of budget restrictions, Jake created the raised section in the same worktop material as the rest of the kitchen and specified that the side and underside should be clad to match. It’s a cost-effective way to achieve a bespoke, coordinated look.
Under the window a large integrated grey stone sink and tall mixer tap are sensibly positioned for a busy family kitchen and on the opposite wall is a tall, accessible larder unit large enough to stock a family’s worth of groceries and supplies.
A Rangemaster cooker with double oven and induction hob takes pride of place on the far wall. Light reflects off the mirror splashback and brings a modern aspect to this kitchen design.
The 3D software-rendered images demonstrate the way plinth and under wall cabinet lighting cleverly and unobtrusively illuminate the whole space on dark days and in the evenings – though not so easy to see on the lovely sunny day these photos were taken!
